Ok well, first off the box it comes in is different. It is a lighter shade of the red historicals but says American Girl across the front. I will have to send it to Meg to list.

The little shoes in there are more like a low mule style. They aren't like the tennis shoes. Just a bit lower in the back. The red on the shoes is a little different then the outfit it's self. They have a piece of yellow elstic that goes where the laces would be and fit snugly on the foot. They are just adorable and seem like they will stay on well.

The T-shirt. Nice deep red colour with white edges and have red stitching. Very nice detailing. I like it a lot. The symbol across the chest has a slight glittery effect to it too. It says,"American Girl Club Est.2004" On the dolls lower left it has an additional tag that reads "AG Club Established 2004" Very cute little detail.

The shorts are of a jersey like the t-shirt. Thicker then the AGP T-shirts and such. I like this. The shorts say "American Girl" across the butt. With red stitching and piping down the legs.

Bucket Hat....Nice quality I would expect from AG. It is of a nice soft feeling material. White with red contrasting stitching. The inside of the hat is interesting. The multi colour fabric makes me wonder if these are the colours to come over the next year. They are bright and very fun. Again the hat has the same detail tag "AG Club established 2004"

I think the outfit is worth the money compared to other AG outfits and will give it a grade of "A". Nice job AG!

I don't think you should feel bad about getting it. Any member could buy it for you. It is really cute.

We purchased both the doll outfit and the outfit for girls and they are both adorable. I just wish they made the shoes for girls.

I wouldn't recommend anyone who is not in the Club to get someone else to purchase the outfit though. I wrote to AG because it disturbed me to hear of people getting the outfit when they aren't in the Club. It is supposed to be an exclusive to for the girls in the Club. When someone is able to get the outfit who isn't a member, it takes away the specialness of the outfit for the girls. AG responded and told me they were deeply disappointed that anyone would purchase additional outfits to either sell to others or purchase for others. Remember, they have a record of how many children you have signed up for the Club and by purchasing more than that number, you are abusing the membership and AG does have the right to cancel someone's membership. My daughter is having too much fun to risk losing her membership for someone else.

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">I'm sorry not to start another heated debate but is that saying if you only have one membership you should only be able to buy one outfit? If I am the one who is paying for the membership and the outfits and I buy one for my daughter and decide I want one for myself I should not be allowed to because our limit should be however many memberships we have? What if there is a younger daughter who is too young to be in the club, but she wants one to match her sister's doll? Or if a girl has two dolls and wants them to dress alike she should still only be allowed one, although she or her mother will most likely be paying because it will be a small fortune in stars? I highly doubt AG is concerned because it is more money to them. If they want to cancel people's memberships for spending more money on their products, well, they can go right ahead. But those are some strange business tactics.

I think AG would have already thought about the fact that people would buy extra outfits to sell or share with others. Personally, I doubt they care. They might say they care...but I doubt they do. If they did, they would have already made a limit on the number of outfits you can purchase.

Thanks for the review Johanna. It is nice that the outfit is club exclusive but I don't plan to ever join. With no children of my own it is kind of pointless and my two nieces that would be interested are too far away (1 by Mpls and one in Miami). I know their mothers don't have time to monitor them on the club and I don't think it can be done long distance.

I don't think AG should put a limit on how many outfits one buys or anything. I'm glad they have this club for girls only but (and selfishly I admit) I still feel kind of left out

Oooo! That's cute! [img]graemlins/heart.gif[/img] I think I'd like to buy one this Spring. If you're a club member and you're willing to help me out, please PM me.

We haven't joined yet, but if I do and purchase the outfit and DD decides she doesn't like it, I'll let you know Anne!

Never mind, Moni. Someone's got me covered. I won't name names in order to protect the not-so-innocent.

Anne (who suspects her name will soon be blackballed at AG)
